I rate both Movado and Vybz Kartel equally...well maybe not, vybz-87% & Movado-13%. But to be honest, this sting is going to be one of the "BADDEST" or should i say, "THE BADDEST" ever. Now people, lets evaluate these individuals separately. Lets talk about Vybz Kartel. Some people may say that his music is "SLACK" or promote "VIOLENCE", but people, regardless that, you have to agree that his lyrics are unique and just amazinly structured. When listening his songs, sometimes you just need to listen to the overall structuring of the words and ignore the message for once, for example in his song named "NUH FRAID" on the Advocate rythm, his said...anyweh my gun caan go mi naah go, man like me weh do killing fi joke, laugh and buss off yuh bloodclaat throat, infronta di police dem a di airport, yuh waan si mi squeeze it like a remote, lef pure dead bady, spen shell, gun smoke, people seh da bway deh a tek coke, inna head copper import, marrow export, mi just waan know seh mi clip full, watch dem a circle mi, how dem suh bad, buss it inna crowd head a open like cupboard, innocent ... mi nuh know nuh god, all when police seh mi wanted, me prefer dead like man dan live like coward, from mi a likkle bwoy mi a slauter people, nuh cow, nuh goat, nuh hog.. pussy.....
Was'nt that amazing?... I'll finish writing later.. i have stuuf to do.
firstly the two man dem a real warlords, but as people know kartel is more lyrical, but movado have better delivery. mi rate kartel but movado a mi artist for life. so hear mi would love for movado to take it home, but dats jus me lets see what happens on that nite.
Real talk...kartel nd Movado or both fabulous..Kartel were there long long time..Kartel mashup the reggae lyrically...Movado come out just has Kartel but he still got his own style.Big up 4 both of dem..but between Movado nd Kartel...i pull up for Kartel no doubt
What rubbish! Why are we celebrating and glorifying violence? We cry about black on black crime. Our young men are being killed and the populus as a whole continue to be caught in poverty and death.
We need to do better.
I feel like the whole 'CLASH' thing was over-rated!! I felt like it was a waste of time!! The crowd got hype... And for what, I don't know!! I know this is gonna sound a bit cliche', but they need to 'llow the war ting and start encouraging the youth, not just of Jamaica, but the world, to unite AGAINST violence not TOWARDS it! Everyone wants to be a 'BAD MAN' and in this time we're living in, it's not a good look! The island of Jamaica is such a beautiful place but is over-shadowed by violence and 'street politics'. And these artists need to realise that they are a HUGE influence to the youth of today and have the power (through lyrics/song) to change their opinions and outlooks on life. Start telling them to focus on their talents to survive... Life is hard enough without us having to worry about whether our family are alright EVERY DAY!
